Four things it is built to do

Not a chatbot bolted onto a sidebar. It has your business open in front of it.

1. It answers, from your real numbers

Ask who owes you money, what sold best last quarter, whether you can afford the van, or how a customer's account stands. The answer comes from your live data, not from a report you have to build first. Questions are always free and never counted.

2. It does the busywork, then waits

Drafting a quotation from a sentence or a voice note. Preparing the polite chase for an invoice that is eighteen days late. Adding an enquiry as a lead and setting the follow-up. It brings you the finished thing and waits for a yes.

3. It changes how Psalm works, by conversation

"Move my logo to the left on quotations." "Stop showing me the stock menu." "Add a delivery charge I can pick." Things that would otherwise mean a settings screen, a support ticket, or giving up. You say it, it does it.

4. It sets up the business it is joining

Show it your existing paperwork, an old invoice, a product list, a photo of a price sheet, and it works out how your business runs and configures Psalm to match. No form to fill in explaining your own trade back to us.

The contract

It proposes. You approve.

An AI let loose on a real business is a liability, not a feature. Everything Smarty does is built around one rule: it can prepare anything, and it can finish nothing on its own. The line is drawn in the software itself, not in a policy document.

What it will never do

  • Send anything to a customer without you reading it and saying yes.
  • Change a number that has legal weight. An issued tax invoice is untouchable, to it as much as to anyone.
  • See more than the person asking. It runs with your salesperson's permissions when your salesperson asks, so it cannot become a way around who sees what.
  • Learn from your business. Your data answers your questions and nothing else. It never trains a model and never leaves your company's own space.

Where it stops and we start

Anything that is already a setting, it can change for you. Anything structural, a new kind of document, a change to how tax is worked out, something that touches money, it does not attempt. It raises a ticket on your behalf instead, so the request reaches the people who built Psalm without you having to write an email. And when several businesses ask for the same thing, it stops being a ticket and becomes a setting.

Everything is written down

Every action it takes is logged against its name and the person who approved it. You can always see what it did, when, and who said yes. An employee you cannot audit is not an employee, it is a risk.

Honestly: it is not finished

Smarty is in private preview and going out to early businesses first. We would rather tell you that plainly than let you find out after paying for a year.

The rest of Psalm is finished, in daily use, and running a real manufacturing business today. Every plan already carries an allowance of AI tasks so that the day Smarty reaches you, there is nothing to buy and nothing to switch on.
